Victoria Finishes third at Australian Pool Lifesaving Championships





The Victorian Pool State team finished a gallant third after four days of competition at the Australian Pool Lifesaving championships held at Caboolture Aquatic Centre in Brisbane. NSW finished on 1326 followed by host state Queensland 1218 and Victoria on 1210 points.



Interstate Championships Marks End of Year of Surf Lifesaver

Victoria was narrowly beaten to fourth place by South Australia at the Interstate Championships held in Bondi at the weekend. In the event marking the end of The Year Of The Surf Lifesaver, New South Wales took the title out ahead of arch rivals Queensland and Western Australia.

Williamstown IRB girls finish first; team third overall

Competing with the best in the nation, the Williamstown female Inflatable Rescue Boat (IRB) team impressed, coming first in Open Female Team Rescue and second in the Open Female Surf Rescue events at the 2007 Australian IRB Championships at South West Rocks in New South Wales.

Honan steps up to take Gold Glory

Ocean Grove's Cassee Honan steped up to take her first gold medal at Australian Championships in the U19 Womens Board Race. Honan backed up after the U19 Ironwoman race and the Open Womens Board Race to take the coverted title of Australian Champion in the U19 Womens Board Race.








Hansen and Cole claim first gold of the Championships

Torquay's Jack Hansen and Justin Cole claimed the first gold of the championships for the Victorian's in the U19 Board Rescue. After leading all the way in the open board rescue before being passed on the last wave it was a sweet reward to claim the gold of the U19 Board Rescue.




Carlton claims silver in U17 Belt Race

Ocean Grove's Simon Carlton claimed his first silver medal at an Australian Championships in the U17 Mens Belt Race today. In testing day for all competitors Carlton's swimming ability shown through the bigger surf conditions at Scarborough Beach.
